Board Position Info
OPEN ELECTIONS – December 2023
We will be having open elections for ALL BOARD POSITIONS in December. If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the AASIU board, please send an email to email@example.com with your name, contact information and what board position you are interested in. There are several board positions available.
Please respond to this request by Friday, December 1st so we can determine interest and candidacy for each person.
Here are the Position Descriptions:
President – The President is the Chief Executive Officer. It shall be his/her responsibility to supervise and coordinate the activities of the Arizona Association of Special Investigation Units (AASIU). The President shall preside at meetings, including the Board of Directors meetings, and shall appoint appropriate committees if needed to be responsible for the activities of the Arizona Association of Special Investigation Units.
Vice President – The Vice President shall preside in the absence of the President. It shall be the Duty of the Vice President to assist the President in any matter of the Association business.
Secretary – The Secretary shall keep the records and minutes of meetings, retain, and preserve the constitution and bylaws, and maintain a current list of all members.
Treasurer – Treasurer shall be custodian and depositor of funds of the Arizona Association of Special Investigation Units. Funds shall only be disbursed as authorized and approved by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall make a complete reporting at the annual meeting and to the Board of Directors at each Board meeting.
Board Members –
- The Board of Directors shall consist of (8) eight members, including the four Officers and the balance from other regular members of the Association duly elected. The outgoing President will become a non-voting consultant to the Board of Directors for a period of one year after leaving office.
- Each member of the Board of Directors shall act as a liaison to our local chapter in a spirit to foster communication and teamwork for the advancement of the purposes and objectives of AASIU.
